

Acara ASEAN Tourism Forum 2023 di Yogyakarta, 2-5 Februari 2023, telah usai digelar. Namun, dampak ekonominya masih terus mengalir, terutama bagi para seller dan buyer yang berpartisipasi dalam ATF travel exchange (travex) di Bima Hall B & C Jogja Expo Center pada 3-5 Februari 2023.
Kegiatan travex ini merupakan salah satu agenda utama dalam ASEAN Tourism Forum 2023. Forum bisnis bagi para pelaku usaha pariwisata di kawasan Asia Tenggara ini selain diisi oleh stan dari 10 negara ASEAN, juga dihadiri oleh 342 exhibitor internasional dan 115 buyer internasional yang terdiri dari pelaku pariwisata di ASEAN dan negara lainnya, seperti biro perjalanan, hotel, operator tur, serta pelaku pariwisata dan MICE lainnya. Adapun total stan pada travex ini adalah 270 stan.
Keikutsertaan buyer internasional pada ATF Travex 2023 terdiri dari tiga jenis buyer, yaitu fully hosted buyers, partially hosted buyers, dan invited buyers yang berasal dari 29 negara, antara lain India, Korea Selatan, Jepang, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, Australia, Jerman, Belanda, United Kingdom, Prancis, Spanyol, Italia, Polandia, Rusia, Kanada, Uni Emirat Arab, Turki, dan Oman.
Tepat di pintu masuk area travex, terdapat paviliun Indonesia yang berdiri megah dan diisi oleh 20 perusahaan pariwisata nasional, seperti biro perjalanan/operator tur, hotel, dan sebagainya. Kehadiran paviliun ini ditujukan untuk menarik investasi dan program-program kerja sama dalam mendukung pemulihan sektor pariwisata domestik.
Untuk rasio antara seller dan buyer berada pada kisaran 3:1 sehingga dapat menjamin ketertiban dan keteraturan sekitar 4.746 potensi pertemuan bisnis.
Selama tiga hari pelaksanaan travex, jumlah potensi transaksi mencapai Rp537,22 miliar atau sebesar US$35,14 juta dari 134.609 pax paket wisata yang terjual. Sementara itu, potensi transaksi untuk paket Indonesia adalah Rp237,25 miliar atau US$15,8 juta untuk 83.686 pax.
Deta Aprilia, Director of Sales & Marketing Grand Mercure Bali Seminyak, mengatakan bahwa ATF Travex 2023 ini sangat berguna bagi dirinya untuk mengikuti perkembangan pariwisata setelah hampir tiga tahun pandemi.
“Saya senang bisa join event ini karena kita juga bisa sharing within the country and within the ASEAN country, untuk update mengenai sektor pariwisata di ASEAN serta behavior traveler karena semua berubah saat ini. Semoga kita bisa menjadi tuan rumah acara ini lagi ke depannya,†ujar Deta.
Hal senada diungkapkan oleh Syaiful Umam, Direktur PT Kayana Cipta Wisata. Syaiful hadir ke ATF sebagai buyer dari Kota Malang untuk mencari peluang bisnis baru. Menurutnya, travex ini sangat membantu bisnisnya karena telah dipertemukan dengan seller dari luar negeri.
“Saya sudah bertemu beberapa perusahaan, dari hotel, travel agent, dan destinasi wisata. Hal ini sangat membantu karena saya berhasil mendapatkan kerja sama bisnis, antara lain dari Vietnam, Filipina, dan Malaysia,†ujar Syaiful.
Evgenii Shishigin, Business Development Manager Promo Travel, merupakan hosted buyer dari Rusia yang turut merasakan dampak positif dari perhelatan ATF Travex 2023.
“Ini kali pertama saya ikut ASEAN Tourism Forum, dan saya sangat menikmatinya. Saya juga menikmati opening ceremony di Candi Prambanan. Ada banyak exhibitor yang menarik. Karenanya saya merekomendasikan orang-orang untuk menghadiri acara ini lagi ke depannya,†ujar Evgenii.
Perhelatan ASEAN Tourism Forum Travel Exchange 2023 melibatkan banyak pihak untuk memastikan bahwa acara ini akan berlangsung lancar dan sukses. Ajang akbar ini melibatkan kerja sama BPPD dan pemerintah provinsi DI Yogyakarta, dengan asosiasi terkait pariwisata seperti PHRI, HPI, dan ASITA, serta Universitas Gadjah Mada yang menyediakan para liaison officer (LO). Para LO yang terlibat tersebut akan mendapatkan 3 SKS Kampus Merdeka. Di samping itu, pameran ini turut dihadiri oleh 50 media lokal, nasional, dan internasional.
Kegiatan travex ASEAN Tourism Forum 2023 ini memberikan banyak dampak, antara lain (1) meningkatkan citra serta kepercayaan dunia terhadap Indonesia sebagai destinasi unggulan MICE internasional, (2) meningkatkan jumlah kunjungan wisatawan mancanegara ke Indonesia dan Asia Tenggara, (3) meningkatkan peluang kerja sama dan investasi di masa mendatang, serta (4) mengetahui tren dan perkembangan sektor pariwisata di luar negeri.

ATF Travex 2023 Created 4,746 Potential Business Meetings

The ASEAN Tourism Forum 2023 event in Yogyakarta, February 2-5, 2023, is over. However, the economic impact continues to flow, especially for sellers and buyers who participated in the ATF travel exchange (travex) at Bima Hall B & C Jogja Expo Center on February 3-5, 2023.
This travex activity is one of the main agendas in the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2023. This business forum for tourism businesses in the Southeast Asian region was not only filled with booths from 10 ASEAN countries, but also attended by 348 international sellers/exhibitors and 115 international buyers consisting of tourism players in ASEAN and other countries, such as travel agencies, hotels, tour operators, and other tourism and MICE players. The total booths at this travex are 270 booths.
The participation of international buyers at ATF Travex 2023 consisted of three types of buyers, namely fully hosted buyers, partially hosted buyers, and invited buyers from 29 countries, including India, South Korea, Japan, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, Australia, Germany, Netherlands, United Kingdom, France, Spain, Italy, Poland, Russia, Canada, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, and Oman.
Right at the entrance of the travex area, there is an Indonesian pavilion that stood majestically and filled by 20 national tourism companies, such as travel agencies/tour operators, hotels, and so on. The presence of this pavilion is intended to attract investment and cooperation programs in supporting the recovery of the domestic tourism sector.
The ratio between sellers and buyers is in the range of 3:1 so as to ensure order and regularity of around 4,746 potential business meetings. During the three-day implementation of travex, the number of potential transactions reached US$60 million from 134,609 transaction packages that occurred.
Meanwhile, the transaction potential for the Indonesian package was Rp237.25 billion or US$15.8 million for 83,686 transaction packages.
Deta Aprilia, Director of Sales & Marketing at Grand Mercure Bali Seminyak, said that ATF Travex 2023 is very useful for her to keep up with tourism developments after almost three years of the pandemic.
"I am happy to join this event because we can also share within the country and within the ASEAN country, for updates on the tourism sector in ASEAN and traveler behavior because everything is changing nowadays. Hopefully we can host this event again in the future," said Deta.
The same thing was expressed by Syaiful Umam, Director of PT Kayana Cipta Wisata. Syaiful came to ATF as a buyer from Malang City to look for new business opportunities. According to him, Travex was very helpful for his business because he had been brought together with sellers from abroad.
"I have met several companies, from hotels, travel agents, and tourist destinations. This is very helpful because I managed to get business cooperation, including from Vietnam, the Philippines, and Malaysia," Syaiful said.
Evgenii Shishigin, Business Development Manager of Promo Travel, is a hosted buyer from Russia who also felt the positive impact of the ATF Travex 2023 event.
"This is my first time attending the ASEAN Tourism Forum, and I really enjoyed it. I also enjoyed the opening ceremony at Prambanan Temple. There were many interesting exhibitors. That's why I recommend people to attend this event again in the future," said Evgenii.
The ASEAN Tourism Forum Travel Exchange 2023 involved many parties to ensure that the event would run smoothly and successfully. This grand event involved the cooperation of BPPD and the provincial government of Yogyakarta, with tourism-related associations such as PHRI, HPI, and ASITA, as well as Gadjah Mada University which provided liaison officers (LOs). The LOs involved will receive 3 credits from Merdeka Campus. In addition, the exhibition was also attended by 50 local, national, and international media.
This travex ASEAN Tourism Forum 2023 activity has many impacts, including (1) increasing the image and world confidence in Indonesia as a leading international MICE destination, (2) increasing the number of foreign tourist visits to Indonesia and Southeast Asia, (3) increasing future cooperation and investment opportunities, and (4) knowing the trends and developments in the tourism sector abroad.
